Welcome to Salt of the Earth(12 and up)! A youth cooking experience to promote: Independence, skill, knowledge, safety, patience, problem solving, confidence, and creativity, in young people. This is a once-a-month class, with options for 3 different age groups, 5-7, 8-11, and 12 & up (the first class of each month is for the 5-7 year group, the next class of the same month is for the 8-11 group and finally the last class of the month is for the 12 and up group). Each participant will receive an apron. Students will earn achievement badges each class to add to their apron. Each month will have its own theme. Your student can attend each month or they can drop in anytime.
March: After-School Snacks (3.10 5-7 yr.olds, 3.17 8-11 yr. olds, 3.24 12 years and up)
April: Breakfast (4.7 5-7 yr. olds, 4.14 8-11 year olds, 4.21 12 years and up)
May: Dinner (5.5 5-7 yr. olds, 5.12 8-11 yr. olds, 5.19 12 years and up)
June: Meats (6.9 5-7 yr. olds, 6.16 8-11 yr. olds, 6.23 12 years and up)
This class will take a break in July and August. We will gather again together beginning in September!
