Perks to Pray and Play: Mihelic’s Shop ‘n Save

10 April

Perks to Pray and Play is a rebate program available at the four Mihelic Shop ‘n Save locations where they allow customers to Register your existing Perks card under Hosanna Industries. As you shop, they track your purchases by your Shop ‘n Save card. Then they give 2% of qualified purchases in gift cards to Hosanna Industries.

Example: If you register your Perks card with this program & spend $500 a month on groceries at any of the four Mihelic Shop ‘n Save stores, $10 a month in gift cards will be donated to Hosanna Industries from Shop ‘n Save.

This program doesn’t affect your regular gas perks that you get & it doesn’t cost anything.  The more people that choose Hosanna Industries as their Perks to Pray and Play recipient & shop at one of the four Mihelic Shop ‘n Save locations, the more gift cards will be gifted to the mission.

We are so grateful for the creative ways that individuals & organizations support the mission of Hosanna Industries!  Contact Amanda if your business or organization would like to support us in a creative way, whether that be through a fundraiser, collection, special sale, etc., we would love to hear your ideas.

Greg Emslie of Focal Point Business Coaching is hosting a time-management seminar on March 9th, & has offered to donate 10% of registration fees to Hosanna Industries.  In this fast-moving, 1/2 day workshop, you learn how to apply the most important personal management principles ever discovered to every area of your life.  Read more about the Eat That Frog seminar & register here.

Sigi & Lauren Loya at the Hormone Center have graciously given Hosanna Industries a vendor table to help us promote the mission & our programs at their Integrative Medicine Symposium on March 25th.  Lauren says that “I started to realize something  was wrong when I saw a patient  who was on 10 medications.  The first five dealt with  ailments while the second five  were for the side effects of the  first five. Despite the  medications, the patient didn’t  feel any better. This was the  beginning of my inquiry into  another way to practice  medicine.”  Read more about this event & register here.  (We do have a few free tickets, so please let us know if you’d like to be our guest for this educational morning.)

Change Matters, January – March 2016

19 January

Can you help us? Please consider placing one of our small trucks and containers on the counter at your business, to collect spare change. We would like to place more than 30 of these trucks at various local businesses for two months for the purpose of charitable donations to Hosanna Industries. If each business collects at least $100, then we could fully fund a project for a needy household in our area.

Hosanna Industries helps people like Lillian, who had not left her house in seven months because she did not have a wheelchair ramp. Thanks to Hosanna, she was able to leave her house unassisted to go to her dialysis appointments.

Hosanna Industries helps people like Rosemaria, a single mom with a severely mentally disabled and mute 18 year old son. The young man requires constant supervision and attention. She called Hosanna because she had no kitchen whatsoever at her home. She was washing her dishes in the bathroom sink upstairs and preparing meals in the microwave. She asked if we could possibly help her, and after five hours at her home, our mission workers and volunteers had installed a brand new kitchen for her and her son.

The change in your pocket could be the change from cold to sheltered. From scared to safe. From lost to a bright future. Your change could be someone’s hope. It could be someone’s new beginning. A chance for new friendships. Your change can be home. Encourage your customers to share their spare change to help people like Lillian and Rosemaria.

Hosanna Industries is a 501c3 nonprofit, founded in 1990.
